Shiroi Koibito

Shiroi Koibito cookies! Who hasn't heard of this marvelous treat?

Name: Ishiya Patisserie Shiroi Koibito
Price: ¥ 740
Contents: 12 pieces

It is from Hokkaido and it is very popular as a souvenir!

Each piece has a slice of white chocolate sandwiched in between fragrant langue de chat cookies. They are super delicious and they just melt in my mouth

I'll let the picture do the talking~

Sadly for me, it is exorbitantly priced in Malaysia. This is the price that I have to pay to forgo the plane ticket to Japan haha.

Have you tried it?

Coordinates With Whitesoot

I never post coordinates. Why you ask? Lack of a tripod/photographer, a full length mirror, space in my overcrowded room and etc... Anyways, I've figured out a way around these problems, so let me know in the comment section what you think about the pictures!

For reference, I am 166 cm short and 45 kg fat.

Dress Whitesoot Necklace H&M Bracelets from China

Item number: D0747
Price: RM 69

The material is sturdy, thick and so comfortable to wear. If you're bigger than a UK 6, the fit will probably be too snug for you since the dress only comes in one size.

On the whole, I’d say yes! But that's because I'm a biased judge who is in love with the silhouette haha~

Top Whitesoot Shorts BCKO Belt Taobao

Item number: T0615
Price: RM 53

It's a soft flowy material and I thought that it'd be stiffer/would hold its shape well from the promotional picture. It is way bigger than expected but still great for a casual day with shorts or jeans.

Before I forget, it's a no go for those who dislike or hate the whole process of ironing clothes.

Overall rating: ★★★★☆☆☆

The two pieces reviewed are from Whitesoot. They are an online fashion store based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Smile Brilliant

Edit: Giveaway closed, prize sent. A huge thank you to my sponsor for making this giveaway possible.

I'm an avid user of whitening toothpastes to little effect. I have never tried DIY home teeth whitening kits until a package from Smile Brilliant reached my doorstep.

I have here the Brilliantly Simple kit for review. It consists of the following items:
  • High intensity ultra-blue LED activating light (batteries included)
  • Protective trays (top & bottom)
  • 4 ml professional whitening gel pen (35% concentration)
  • 30 day money back guarantee
  • Life-time tray replacement warranty

The directions are simple and the whole process is extremely easy. The whitening gel doesn't leave much of a strange aftertaste plus there were no discomfort whilst the tray and LED light are placed in my mouth.

Smile Brilliant utilizes Carbamide Peroxide in its formulation. It is the exact ingredient used in professional dental offices.

I used the system on four of my front teeth for comparison purposes. They went a few shades lighter than the rest of my teeth after two 20 minutes sessions!!! Sadly I didn't take any pictures of my pearly whites, you just have to take my word for it.

This kit is seriously amazing. No regrets in trying it out and I can finally bid goodbye to my whitening toothpastes!

You can order the Brilliantly Simple kit for US$ 39.95 on the Smile Brilliant website. You can also check out other offerings (different kits, refills etc) over here. My international readers will be glad to hear that Smile Brilliant ships internationally at no extra charges.

[LensVillage] Geo Medical Princess Mimi Almond

I'm back with another review on Geo Medical Princess Mimi lenses. They were purchased from lensvillage.com because of the attractive 10% off codes floating in the blogosphere. I can't remember the exact code that I used, just google for lensvillage coupon code!

Service was very efficient. My package arrived a few days after I placed my order. It helps that we are both based in Malaysia haha~

Name: Geo Medical Princess Mimi Almond
Price: US$ 23.00 for 1 pair
Base curve: 8.6 mm
Diameter: 14.5 mm
Water content: 38%
Prescription: 0.00 to -8.00
Life span: 1 year disposal

Almond shows up nicely. It's not a bold attention seeking pair of lenses, which is to my immense liking. A colour that's too vivid or opaque looks a wee bit fake to me.

The spikes blends into my natural eye colour. Once worn it becomes a more natural version of my Candy Sugar lenses.

I'm extremely satisfied with the 14.5 mm diameter, it's the absolute minimum size that I will take in. That said, I think lenses with a diameter of 17 mm and above are crazy huge! Or perhaps you like them? Let me know in the comment section!

I loved how comfy Apple Green feels on and Almond is just the same.

Here's how Tsubasa Masuwaka looks like with Bambi Almond on. I know, much better than my ugly mug...

Totally unrelated, a model wearing Kiramega in Brown. How on earth do Japanese models look so cute effortlessly?! *froths with jealousy*

La Roche-Posay Effaclar K

My nose is one of my sore spots. Not only it is large and flat, it also is infested with the mother of unsightly things - comedones! I decided to try Effaclar K after hearing how it did wonders for one of my friends.

(Source: laroche-posay.com/)

Name: La Roche-Posay ラ ロッシュ ポゼ Effaclar K エファクラ K
Price: S$ 38.90 for 30 ml
@cosme rating: 4.3
Made in: France

It has a light runny consistency and absorbs in a flash. The scent isn't pleasant but it isn't awful either.

I can foresee a tube lasting quite a while. I use a tiny amount on my nose and the area surrounding it.

I noticed it taking effect in just one short week. It does not completely obliterate comedones, however, it does reduce the amount significantly. My nose is very smooth to the touch and it no longer looks congested.

I have used Effaclar K for two months before sharing my joy with you guys. Here's a look at my nose after it went a week without any extractions:

I'm extremely pleased that I can cut down on using pore packs from thrice to once every fortnight. Even then, I do not pull out much gunk; a far cry from how it was previously.

All in all, I think it is one of the best discoveries that I made this year and I highly recommend it! I only wish that it is sold in Malaysia.. the picture of the well stocked display below was taken when I visited Singapore a few moons ago.

The full ingredient list for Effaclar K:
Aqua, Isononyl Isononanoate, Propylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Aluminium Starch Octenylsuccinate, PEG-100 Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Salicylic Acid, Ammonium Polyacryldimethyltauramide, Octyldodecanol, Zinc PCA, Sodium Hydroxide, Retinyl Linoleate, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Cetyl Alcohol, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Parfum.

Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk OR204 Review, Swatches, LOTD

Etude House released a slew of commercial films featuring 2NE1's Sandara Park and the boys from SHINee to herald the arrival of the Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk lipsticks. That is too much fanfare for a mere lipstick!

A play off the Death Note series, the Kiss Note concept for the campaign was that each SHINee member kisses Sandara Park whenever she writes his name down with the aforementioned lipstick.

Jonghyun OR204 - Key RD304 - Taemin OR205 - Minho PK004

Isn't it marvelous if we posses a Kiss Note? Think of the possibilities haha!

Name: Etude House 에뛰드하우스 Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk 디어 마이 블루밍 립스-톡 OR204 Bashful Coral OR204 부끄러운 코랄
Price: ₩ 8,500 for 3.4 g
Release date: 1.3.2012
Made in: Korea

Etude House lipsticks are incredibly cute. However, I felt that the weight and the colour of the tube cheapened the overall look.

OR204 is a soft peachy pink with yellow undertones. The pigmentation is excellent and it takes two swipes or so to get even, full colour coverage. It has the look of a matte with a sheen.

The Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk range is infused with a lovely apricot scent, which is the norm with Etude House lipsticks. It feels fairly drying and will most certainly bleed into lip lines; your lips will appreciate it if you properly moisturize and prep them in advance.

There's a good selection of shades in the range with a variety of oranges, pinks, reds and nudes. I'm sure you'll find one that flatters your skin tone!
